There is a pain that cannot always be seen.<\/p>\n
It doesn't necessarily sit in the body.<\/p>\n
It can't be measured in blood tests or scans.<\/p>\n
But it can shape a whole life.<\/p>\n
Rejection.<\/p>\n
The feeling of not quite belonging.<\/p>\n
Of being the one who stands a little on the outside.<\/p>\n
Of being the one who doesn't quite fit in.<\/p>\n
Some experience it early in life.<\/p>\n
Others through relationships that fell apart.<\/p>\n
Through betrayal.<\/p>\n
Words that should never have been spoken.<\/p>\n
Relationships that never became what you hoped.<\/p>\n
And slowly rejection begins to do something to us.<\/p>\n
Not just as a feeling.<\/p>\n
But as an inner story.<\/p>\n
A voice that whispers:<\/p>\n
You are not wanted.<\/p>\n
You are not good enough.<\/p>\n
You don't fit in.<\/p>\n

When rejection becomes an inner reality<\/p>\n
The hard thing about rejection isn't only what happened.<\/p>\n
It's what it keeps saying afterward.<\/p>\n
Rejection can creep into our identity.<\/p>\n
It affects our relationships.<\/p>\n
It affects our courage.<\/p>\n
It affects our picture of God.<\/p>\n
Some begin to live life as if they constantly have to prove something.<\/p>\n
Others build walls.<\/p>\n
Others again quietly withdraw.<\/p>\n
But deep down it's about the same thing:<\/p>\n
An inner fear of not being wanted.<\/p>\n

The rejection Jesus carried<\/p>\n
One of the most shattering things in the Gospels happens on the cross.<\/p>\n
Jesus cries out:<\/p>\n
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?<\/p>\n
(Matthew 27:46)<\/p>\n
That's not just pain.<\/p>\n
It's the cry of rejection.<\/p>\n
The cry many people know all too well.<\/p>\n
But it's precisely there that something decisive happens.<\/p>\n
Jesus steps into the ultimate rejection<\/p>\n
so that you and I never have to live under it.<\/p>\n
Isaiah writes:<\/p>\n
He was despised and rejected by men.<\/p>\n
(Isaiah 53:3)<\/p>\n
He carried the rejection.<\/p>\n
So that we can live in acceptance.<\/p>\n

After the cross<\/p>\n
After the cross.<\/p>\n
After the darkness.<\/p>\n
After the resurrection.<\/p>\n
Jesus suddenly stands in the middle of his disciples.<\/p>\n
They had failed him.<\/p>\n
Abandoned him.<\/p>\n
Hidden themselves.<\/p>\n
Yet there he stands.<\/p>\n
Not with accusation.<\/p>\n
But with presence.<\/p>\n
And his promise is simple:<\/p>\n
I am with you always, to the end of the age.<\/p>\n
(Matthew 28:20)<\/p>\n
That's the heart of the gospel.<\/p>\n
Jesus carried the ultimate rejection<\/p>\n
so that you never again have to live in the prison of rejection.<\/p>\n

The vaccine against rejection<\/p>\n
Rejection loses its power when we begin to believe what God says.<\/p>\n
Not what people said.<\/p>\n
Not what the past whispers.<\/p>\n
But what the Father has spoken over our lives.<\/p>\n
At its core the gospel is this:<\/p>\n
Endless love.<\/p>\n
Eternal acceptance.<\/p>\n
That's the strongest medicine against rejection.<\/p>\n
When God's love is allowed to take root in the heart, something begins to loosen.<\/p>\n
The inner story changes.<\/p>\n
Not because everything in the past changes.<\/p>\n
But because the identity does.<\/p>\n
You are not defined by who didn't want you.<\/p>\n
You are defined by the God who chose you.<\/p>\n

One last question<\/p>\n
If Christ has already carried the rejection for you \u2026<\/p>\n
Then why keep living as if you are still rejected?<\/p>\n
Maybe the time has come to lay that burden down.<\/p>\n
And begin to live in the truth Jesus has already opened the way to.<\/p>\n
